With 76% of employees across Manufacturing reporting they have been a victim of a cyber attack at work, the importance of education to ensure employees understand cyber security best practice is paramount to manufacturing cyber resilience.
Our data also shows that only 10% of cyber risk owners in the sector strongly agree that some attacks come through a lack of employee diligence, the second lowest out of the other sectors surveyed. This is perhaps an indication that manufacturing organisations are neglecting the role that their employees play in safeguarding their business assets.
Our results further backup this hypothesis as nearly one in five (18%) Manufacturing employees said they just receive a disciplinary but no training as a consequence of falling for a cyber attack, the highest out of all the sectors surveyed.
