How did a government organisation future proof its security operations?
A government organisation experienced a near miss cyber-attack, which involved malware being dropped beyond its firewall. The team wanted to ensure the right infrastructure was in place to avoid any further incidences and needed advice on how to harden its attack surface, without inhibiting its planned roll out of Microsoft Defender for End Point for a significant number of licenses.
Our consultancy team worked closely with the organisation’s internal IT operations through a cyber assessment programme and created a series of unbiased recommendations to implement alongside its existing SOC service. We also worked closely with the organisations’ Head of IT to secure a £400,000 budget required to roll out an effective cyber security infrastructure and ran a proof of concept that demonstrated the benefits of having a 24/7/365 monitoring service.
The company realised the importance of taking a preventative approach to cybersecurity through assessing the threat landscape and deploying the right tools.
